So you bought Govee's immersion lights and you thought you were clever when you saved hundreds of dollars over [insert brand name]'s system. Everything works well... except you can't automate when the lights turn on and off.
But you run your home with HomeKit and Govee doesn't support HomeKit. So what do you do?
Govee offers a simple API that Apple's Shortcuts app supports. This means that you can setup an automation using an action from your HomeKit devices. For example, I have my Govee lights turn off when my living room lights are off and turn on when my living room lights are on. Below I'll show you how I set that up.
Go to the Govee app, and make sure you're logged in. Then follow the screens below to apply for your API key:

Once you've applied for your API key, you should receive an email like the one below:

Note down your API key.
Now go into the Shortcuts app and create a new shortcut. Follow the steps below:

4: URL is https://developer-api.govee.com/v1/devices
6: Key is Govee-API-Key
7: Copy and paste the API key you got in your email.
